CICS and other alternatives have historically been tied to a single platform implementation or a single platform deployment.  LegacyJ Transaction Platform is platform independent and Application Server agnostic permitting the choice of deployment options and the flexibility to move or extend to additional environments.  In other words the transaction can run on any suitable hardware, on any suitable OS and on any J2EE Application Server --maximum flexibility with the option to control costs.
