Services |
The LegacyJ Datacom Bridge services
provides DBNTRY functions and permits the replacement of
Datacom application database.
|

LegacyJ Datacom Bridge works in conjunction with LegacyJ
Transaction Suite and/or LegacyJ PERCobol Transaction Version to
provide access to data once stored in Datacom.
LegacyJ Bridge
Datacom functions are be supported in a “like manner” to the
capabilities in the legacy Datacom environment. So users do not need
to change and COBOL source programs in order to make use of this
support.
To use the LegacyJ Datacom Bridge, the
data must migrated from Datacom into a SQL database. An element of
this process is to generate the mapping of the data fields from the
old Datacom database configuration to the new SQL database. The
"from" (old data fields) to the "to" (new data field) relationship
must be created as part of the migration as used as a data mapping
property file.
The LegacyJ Datacom Bridge is valuable
to those who have large database assets in Datacom and would like to
move that data resource into an industry standard SQL environment. |
