Jikes (port)LegacyJ products leverage business application assets with simple, straight-forward technologies to exploit the new enterprise. LegacyJ has ported Jikes to several platforms where a port was not yet available. LegacyJ has made these ports available to the general public and offers them on an "as is" basis without support. Installation
Installation requires that tar and gunzip for .gz files or uncompress for .Z files be present on the system.
All ports are simple tar.gz files, suitable for extraction using tar xvfz jikesxxx.tar.gz or gunzip jikesxxx.tar.gz; tar xvf jikesxxx.tar or uncompress jikesxxx.tar.Z; tar xvf jikesxxx.tar where xxx represents the operating system.
The 'jikes' executable may be copied on the system where desired.
