LegacyJ encourages the use of PERCobol to teach COBOL. LegacyJ offers a no cost or low cost options for college and universities who wish to use PERCobol for instructional purposes.

PERCobol Educational includes an advanced function COBOL compiler, complete IDE, integrated graphical source level debugger, advanced listing file, deploy tool and many other LegacyJ tools.

PERCobol Educational Version can be used FREE on a semester by semester basis to teach COBOL.
LegacyJ Academic Program is an excellent way to cost license PERCobol for the educational use at colleges and universities.

OPTIONS AVAILABLE

PERCobol Educational is a restricted function version of the current PERCobol product. PERCobol Educational is released in conjunction with any new releases of PERCobol Enterprise and students have access to the latest LegacyJ PERCobol compiler technology.

FREE	Any College or University that would like to teach COBOL using LegacyJ PERCobol can obtain an educational license FREE. Licenses provided as part of this program are issued on a semester-by-semester basis only and may not be used for commercial purposes.
DISCOUNT	Any College or University that would like to license PERCobol Enterprise version for teaching PERCobol can receive a 35% discount on a PERCobol Professional version.

Student Programs

LegacyJ offers free usage of PERCobol Educational compiler to any qualifying student for one semester. Students can select either Windows or Linux versions of PERCobol Educational. LegacyJ software support is not included with this option.

Program Qualifications

Student must submit proof of the following to qualify:

1. Currently enrolled in: COBOL Course, Computer Science or MIS program at any educational institution
2. Student ID
