Can I build a multi-threaded COBOL application that will run on both "server" or "client" in a distributed environment?

PERCobol is ideally suited for "Server" and "Client" any combination of distributed COBOL application deployment.  PERCobol has easy to use multi-thread support (sample are provided with PERCobol) that is ideally suited for building networked applications.  PERCobol TCP/IP support permits the creation of intuitive networked applications.
