On the Mainframe we truncate Binary COMP Fields, what is the max value?
The maximum values that can be stored in a
binary half-word are:
num-comp-4 pic 9(4) comp value 65535. | max value
num-comp-s4 pic s9(4) comp value 32767. | max value
Be sure to set TRUNCATE BINARY and COMP IS
BINARY in Properties > Cobol Compiler Settings > Data Types.
